What does pooling mean?
Pallet pooling is gaining momentum. More and more companies rely on the sustainable and cost-efficient exchange system. Pooling is based on sharing and reusing pallets in the global supply chain. That sounds like a logistical challenge. But it isn't! This is because the pooling service provider takes over the complete procurement, administration, return and quality assurance for your company. It couldn't be easier!
How high are the vacant stocks when pooling pallets?
With sustainable cooperation, we are happy to grant customers of our pooling service vacancy. These usually correspond to a one-month order quantity. With an annual volume of 120,000 Euro pallets ordered, this corresponds to an exemption of 10,000 pieces.
Can larger quantities of Euro pallets — in addition to free stock — be ordered?
Are there seasonal peaks in your company in the past? Or do you occasionally need more load carriers for other reasons? Then you can easily order a larger number of replacement pallets. For this purpose, we offer you an individual rental fee in advance.
Can partial quantities be returned when pooling pallets?
Yes, you can easily return or release fewer pallets. This only results in a small additional charge, which we will communicate to you in advance.
How much does it cost to rebook Euro pallets? And with which exchange partners are rebookings possible?
In our large, Europe-wide pooling network, you will find a large number of exchange partners who make rebooking easy and uncomplicated. And the best thing about it: Most rebookings remain completely free of charge for you. Only a few companies in the exchange network charge a small rebooking fee.
Does the pooling service also repair defective replacement pallets?
Yes To do this, simply return your broken or defective load carriers to us. As part of our pallet pooling services, we repair or recycle Euro pallets. And charge them to your pallet account for a repair fee.
What happens when load carriers are lost?
Have you lost pallets and can no longer be returned? Then simply let our pooling service know. This offsets the load carrier loss at an attractive daily rate on your digital pallet account. And quickly delivers replacement pallets to you if required.
Which quality classes are available for the Euro Pallet Pool System?
In addition to brand-new EPAL pallets, our pool system offers you used, exchangeable EPAL pallets in the following quality classes:
1. Quality class A Euro pallets
- These pallets are in excellent condition and are not dirty. They look almost like new and are brightly sorted.
- A-quality Euro pallets are ideal for storing and transporting sensitive goods — e.g. from the food, pharmaceutical or chemical industries.
- Even highly automated production systems, conveyor systems and high-rack warehouses run smoothly with A-quality industrial pallets.
- All required markings are clearly legible.
- There are no outstanding pieces of wood or twisted blocks.
2. Euro pallets of quality class B (gradation to class A)
- These pallets show slight signs of wear and may have a certain amount of wood darkening. Grade B wooden pallets are not sorted in terms of brightness and darkness.
3. Euro pallets of quality class C (gradation to class A and B)
- These pallets show heavy signs of wear and have already been used several times.
- They are functional and fully usable for storage and transportation.
- However, it is not guaranteed that they are suitable for highly automated production systems, conveyor systems and high-bay warehouses.
- They meet the requirements of DIN EN 13698-1.
- The pallets are free from packaging adhesions.
- At least one trademark and the manufacturer's identification are easy to read.
- The pallets are odourless.
